Detroit Diesel 4-53 Non Turbo Marine Engine Complete Good Running A+ 4 Cyl Diesel ESN: 4D-45094 MDN: 5044-8000 BCN: 5125424 HCN: 5134294 Engine features a Single Weight-Variable Speed Governor and 4 Valve cylinder head. Engine configuration from flywheel: Blower, Starter and Exhaust manifold on right side. Governor on left with right hand rotation. Test ran 3-29-18: Good running A++ with 55 plus oil pressure Sweet runner!! Not a hint of exhaust or blow-by!! Idles and screams perfect!! Governor not working and will need to be repaired. Had to test run without valve cover to throttle manually. See it run on video!! Blower cover had damage...good used replacement installed for test run. This cover is not set up for this engine and will not except both air breathers and will need to be replaced with correct cover. One coolant out let broken off and both breathers dinged up (may be repairable so included with engine). Does not come with starter.
