What makes him worth talking to is that he is wired straight into the same catalogue and the same engine database our own people use. He is not working from a script or a frequently-asked-questions list. When he quotes a price or tells you something is on the shelf, he has just looked it up.

What he can do

• Find parts by part number, OEM or casting number, engine, or plain description.
• Check price and stock against live data, not a cached list.
• Identify your engine from a Cummins CPL, a Perkins build list, a Caterpillar arrangement number or a serial prefix.
• Sort out the badge confusion — he knows a Perkins 104-22, a Cat 3024 and a Shibaura N844L are the same engine, and that a Cummins 4B 3.9L is also a Case 4-390.
• Take a message with your name, number and what you need, so the team can call you first thing.

What he will not do

E.A.R.L. stays in his lane. He does not quote shipping, promise delivery dates, give discounts, take payment, or hand out torque specs and repair advice. Those go to a person. He is also built to say "I am not sure" rather than guess — if a search comes back empty or a result is a near-miss, he will tell you plainly instead of dressing it up as an exact match.
