No, repair sleeves are typically not included in Engine Overhaul Kits for sleeveless (parent-bore) engines. However, oversized piston kits are usually available so a machine shop can bore out your cylinder block to accept the larger pistons.

Replacing a cylinder block can be expensive, but it's not always necessary. Aftermarket repair sleeves can sometimes be purchased and installed by a machine shop to bring the bore back to standard. If aftermarket sleeves aren't available, many machine shops can special-order generic sleeve stock to repair your block. As a last resort, if repair sleeves cannot be installed, we can often locate used cylinder blocks.

If your engine uses camshaft bearings (not all do), they are typically included in Out-of-Frame Kits but not in Inframe Kits. Check the kit's product description for a complete list of included components.

This depends on the engine make and model. Many of our kits include rod bolts, especially for applications using torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts. TTY bolts stretch slightly when properly torqued and cannot be reused once removed. Check the kit's product description for a complete list of included components.

In many cases, yes—provided your engine uses piston pin bushings (not all do). Check the kit's product description for a complete list of included components.

Nearly all heavy-duty diesel piston pin bushings are manufactured slightly undersized and are designed to be finish-machined after installation in the connecting rod. This allows a machine shop to hone or ream the bushing to achieve the precise clearance required for your specific piston pin. In short, new bushings are designed to be too small and require additional machining.

No, oil pumps are not typically included in Engine Overhaul Kits but are often available separately.

Keep the bearings clean, in their original packaging, and in like-new condition. Give us a call and we'll send you a return label. Once we receive the incorrect bearings, your replacements will ship out. A small shipping charge may apply.

Every used part is unique. Some may not require professional cleaning or remachining. However, for major castings such as connecting rods, camshafts, cylinder blocks, and cylinder heads, we generally recommend having them inspected, cleaned, and remachined to factory specifications by a reputable machine shop before installation.

Shipping costs depend on several factors. For parcel shipments (packages 150 lbs. or less), charges are based on your order total (excluding sales tax). See the table below. For LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight shipments, costs are based on weight and destination and will be displayed at checkout.
